97 Bonneville se wipers only go up and down about 2 inches on high setting.?

Question: Wiper control module and multi function switch have both been replaced with new parts and still have the same problem. Washers cruise etc.. still work fine, if I play with the switch the wipers will do a full sweep?

Answer: When you say multi-function switch, are you referring to the lever itself? There is what's known as a pivot switch located inside the steering column that controls power to the wiper motor. If this switch is faulty then your wipers will operate erratically.
